Canesten Oral & Cream Duo

Contents:

Capsule containing fluconazole 150mg plus 10g tube of white cream containing clotrimazole 2% Capsule- other ingredients include: Lactose monohydrate. Cream- other ingredients include: Benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol and purified water (see the enclosed leaflet for further information).

Indication:

Oral treatment of vaginal thrush and a cream for relief of the irritation. The capsule can also be used to treat associated candidal balanitis, and the cream used to treat the sexual partner’s penis to prevent reinfection.

Dosage:

Adults 16-60 years: Take capsule orally. Apply cream thinly 2-3 times daily to the affected area.

Caution:

Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment. May damage latex contraceptives. Not recommended for use by women of childbearing potential unless adequate contraception is being used. Not to be administered concomitantly with terfenadine, cisapride or ergot derivatives. Only to be used if thrush has been previuosly diagnosed by a doctor.
