Why do I need this medicine?
Clobetasone helps to relieve inflammation and itch that may occur with certain skin problems such as eczema and dermatitis.

Clobetasone belongs to a group of medicines called steroids.

How do I take this medicine?
Apply Clobetasone exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not apply more often or over a larger area than instructed by your doctor. Do not use for a longer period of time than instructed by your doctor.

Wash and dry your skin gently before applying Clobetasone.

Apply a thin layer sparingly to the affected area. Rub it in gently until it disappears. Do not cover, wrap or bandage the area, unless instructed by your doctor.

Do not apply Clobetasone near the eye area. If Clobetasone accidentally gets into your eyes, flush your eyes with clean water immediately.

Do not apply on a child's skin unless instructed by the child's doctor. If you are applying Clobetasone on your child, do not use tight-fitting diapers or non-breathable materials.

Do not use Clobetasone for anything else other than the purpose instructed by your doctor.

When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or become pregnant while being treated with Clobetasone.

Let your doctor know if you are breastfeeding. Do not apply Clobetasone on the nipples if you are breastfeeding.

Clobetasone may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid exposing the affected area to sunlight.

Do not apply Clobetasone to large areas of your skin.

Alert your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens.

What side effects could I experience?
Clobetasone may cause skin irritation such as a tingling or itching sensation, dry skin, peeling, pimples, thinning of the skin and small changes in skin tone.

These side effects are usually not common and are not a cause for worry, especially if you are using Clobetasone for only a short period of time.

Stop using Clobetasone and see your doctor again if the skin irritation does not go away.
