Dosage
Adults: One dissolved in water 1- 3 times daily after meals. Children over 30kg: One dissolved in water, 1-3 times daily after meals 10-30kg: Half tablet dissolved in water, 1-3 times daily after meals Less than 10kg: Half tablet dissolved in water, once daily after meals
Caution
Zinc may reduce the absorption of tetracycline antibacterials. When both are given an interval of at least 3 hours should be allowed. Zinc may also reduce the absorption of quinolone antibacterials, oral iron, penicillamine and trientine. The absorption of zinc may be reduced by tetracyclines, oral iron, penicillamine, trientine and calcium salts. Accumulation of zinc may occur in kidney failure
